Stumbled upon this Pork Katsu gem looking for a pasta restaurant on the same street. after a quick glance at the menu we decided to try it. (it was the pictures that sold us, not the prices) the place had a calm authentic japanese feel to it. the service was very polite and helpful. we decided to get the Tai Sashimi (snapper) appetizer and the Tenderloin Katsu Teishoku. (oh and one of my favorite Japanese beer, Yebisu that goes so well with fried meat)
first they give you a bowl of sesame seeds for you to grind up yourself and add their house brand tonkatsu sauce to. the Katsu was fried to perfection. crisp and clean but tender meat inside. the miso soup was great. the rice and cabbage was all you can eat. a bit on the pricey side but if you want authentic Japanese Katsu, this is the spot. went back for lunch and had Tonjiru (pork stew) and Katsu-Don. 5 shakas brah!
