if you are looking for some good sushi but don't want to pay the big dolo at places like Nobu, then Hatsuhana is a good spot. located in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it's gets pretty busy during peak hours with the hotel guests. we stopped in for lunch after a good hang ten session. we got the the staple sushi rolls, Tekka Maki (tuna roll) and Kappa Maki (cucumber roll) to start and the Ten-Zaru (tempura & zaru soda) meal. the food was good and what you'd expect from a proper Japanese restaurant. it is a bit on the pricey side compared to Vancouver sushi prices. but you get what you pay for. got my protein fill from the soba noodles and i was ready to go shred some waves again. well, try to at least. comparable to Yoshi's on Denman except this place will serve you in flip flops and board shorts.
