Took a trip to India a few weeks ago and incorporated a four day stop over in Bangkok. I really enjoyed Bangkok. Fairly clean, friendly people, and great food. We were lucky to have a host who was happy to take us around to the markets, show us what ingredients were commonly used in Thai food and he even give us a quick cooking lesson at a street stand where he knew the owners.

Eating in Thailand is cheap. Some of meals that we had costs as low as one Canadian dollar. What was really interested is that many homes didn't have kitchens, the families just eat out every meal of the day. I used to live like that.

Here is video that recaps some of my four days.

Sweet creation, solid mix of stills and action footage. Bangkok is indeed a lovely city, great food culture on the street which you seemed to have partaken in. Which part of India did you visit? I'm going back in the summer, this time to central India.

Shokutsu, you sure travel a lot. I m jealous.

I was in Calcutta. There is a large Chinese community there and the food was incredible. I did get sick on my second day, my body doesn't have the intestinal fortitude like locals.

I hope to have some photos scanned up and uploaded shortly. Maybe I ll play around with Imovie again.
