Nando’s Flame-Grillled Chicken
I am a big fan of Nando’s. Great tasting chicken, well priced and the place is licensed if you need a beer with your meal. I reached out to Nando’s to see if they wanted to do a promo with Vancouver Slop and they have happily agreed. So here is the contest. Add a comment to this post listing who you would take to Nando’s and why. Be creative with your answer because it will help us choose. Make sure to sign in so we know who you are or if you are too lazy to create an account you can email me your comment and I will add it for you.
This contest will run for two weeks.
Each week one winner will be selected and they will receive a $25 gift certificate from Nandos Canada.
Winner will be picked - Tuesday, Aug 3 and Monday, August 9. So keep writing your comments.

Winner 2 - Mary Ann
When i proposed to my new spouse, i scratched at the ground and sang like a chicken in a cafe right across the street from the new Nandos on Davie...we have a secret chicken dance that we've done for each other since we started dating! It was crowded and full and patrons thought we were insane...and she said yes.
So yes, I would take my new spouse :)
(and if it helps, we are both chickenheads, eating neither beef nor pork)

I'd like to take my stomach, because it's the only thing that can truly appreciate properly grilled chicken.
I would take my lovely boyfriend because ever since he started art school we've been eating instant noodles and I think with the addition of delicious grilled chicken to his diet he could be the next Douglas Coupland- lol. Colour bars!

I'd take my friend Monika because it's one of her favourite restaurants and she's moving away from Vancouver next month and is sad that she won't be able to have Nando's any more.
I would like to take Chuck Norris to Nando's .
He would probably set the roof on fire because he's just too hot for the peri peri :) No explanination is needed to express how epic Chuck Norris can be.
Otherwise , I would bring my mother . She's my hero in my life :)
I have to this day never eaten at Nando's, even though I was offered a job there as a teenager (I had to decline.) If I won, I would bring my 2 friends who spent 8 months backpacking in Europe last year, who often speak fondly of Nando's as their "fanciest and most indulgent" meal experience while living in pricey Londontown.
I'd give this to my Dad, who's particularly fond of the Peri Peri sauce. When I was a kid, we lived in southern Africa, and we'd often eat out at a local place that served prego sandwiches (not chicken) marinated in Piri Piri sauce. Even though it serves chicken, Nando's is a reminder of those times!
I'd take my friend Rick, since he introduced me to nando's and now he's been laid off and is uber-broke.
Brad
I'd take my BF, he loves Nando's chicken. When he use to work near Metrotown he'd try to convince me to go there for lunch with him. Now that work moved him Downtown he doesn't get Nando's anymore. You'd make him a very happy bf if he won. I hope he doesn't read this...
I would take my dear friend, who after losing their job earlier this week was served with divorce papers last night. A double whammy for a good person who could use a nice meal with a friend to get their mind of things.
I'd take my friend Sam because he's sitting next to me right now and the food looks delish.
yum yum yum nandos!
My friend Tevis just biked across Canada to raise money for prostate cancer. I was too broke to donate, but I could help fill his belly at Nandos!
I'd take my currently vegetarian but former non-vegetarian best friend to Nandos because I think this is just what she needs to cross back over to the dark side! She's been told she needs to eat some meat again, and she's decided to do it ... she just needs a gentle loving push (me) and some gorgeous tasty food (Nandos)!
I would take my son. We love food, we love hot, we love fun food. Nando's is fun food. Finger Licking Fun. With a dash of Peri Peri it becomes mouth numbing finger licking fun.
I'd take the hubs because he grew up eating Nando's and it's still one of his faves.
I would take my friend who's recently came back from London and had his piri piri chicken there, I am sure he'll appreciate to experience the wonderful chicken again :D
I would take my mom! She's coming to town soon and she's fed me enough times I should return the favour.

I would bring my husband. We are very new to Vancouver and are anxious to try great food as we can from a city that is just hitting the surface for good food! We have a babysitter ready to go if we are chosen.
I would take my husband we just moved to Vancouver from a city that is epicure challenged. Wrote initally as Andrea but did not leave a way to be contacted. would love the opportunity to expand our horizons in this beautiful city.
I, would take my grandmother she, like the rest of us, is getting older every year and one of her complaints is no one knows how to cook chicken anymore. Nando's would let her rest easy
My long lost friend Matty boy who promised me free seafood...
Matt, where are you? give me my sea urchin, i'm hungry!!! :)
