In total agreement with you! I finally went to La Taqueria today and it was completely delicious. Frankly, I don't even remember what I ordered, beyond the four meat tacos and the Mandarin Mexican soda. I just got the cashier to choose for me. Next time, I'll try the four vegetarian tacos. Great value, too, for those tacos are deceptively filling (wow!) and made with such fresh ingredients. I was extremely impressed at the number of local ingredients that they use and that the meat they use is free-range, grass-fed, antibiotic-free. I'll pay anything for that because it is still so hard to find in this city. I agree with you re: the chipotle salsa/sauce, but the mole was also hella delish. I recommend this to everyone.
P.S: Another Vancouver blog, while they very favourably reviewed LT, they made what I see as a very ignorant and insulting comment about paying good money for what is just a tortilla, meat, and vegetables. The tacos at LT are completely affordable and inexpensive, and the quality of the ingredients and authenticity of the dish (Taco Bell tacos are not Mexican tacos)are a rare find. All the Chinese restaurants that they tend to review definitely can't say that their food is deliberately locally and ethically sourced.

Until now, they sell the best tacos in vancouver bc, I hope they keep quality. Prices good, not cheap but you get for what you pay.
Love the carnitas and steak.

I like how the tortilla shells are homemade. Have you tried the fish tacos at Go Fish? Apparantly those are great. I was on a search for the best fish tacos. But I missed Go Fish. Will try soon I hope.
