I agree the best pasta meals that I have ever had are the ones cooked at home by friends.

I enjoyed this place and thought it was good tasting pasta for the price point.

But I am still in agreeance with you that the best pasta comes from home or for me someone elses home. I need to find a way to get invited to more dinners.

I've been a few times over the years and haven't been overly impressed (lack of bold flavors, notably under or overcooked pasta, etc). I always chose from their daily too. Maybe they've stepped things up since Timmy's opened next door (SMILE). Perhaps I will give them yet another try, but honestly, pasta made at home has always tasted better than here.

If you ever head up towards Point Grey you should check out Burgoo if you haven't been before. Stews, soups, sandwiches, comfort food at its best.

You should check out Zeffirelli's above The Cactus Club on Robson. They have great pasta at reasonable prices. The only problem is that it can get pretty busy on the week-end.
